Your treatment is as unique to you as your foot print
Your first appointment includes a full consultation and an the formulation of a bespoke treatment plan that is unique to you

Initial Consultation

You will be invited to take a seat, offered a drink and then guided through the consultation process. This can take up to 30 minutes depending on how much you wish to share and how complex your medical history is. Your full details will be taken including any past or present ailments, allergy information etc to ensure your safety and any other relevent lifestyle information you feel would help in providing you the best possible care. Once these details are all captured, you will be asked to sign a consent form and data protection form to ensure that you are still happy to go ahead with an initial treatment and we will begin the process of formulating a proposed treatment plan between us depending on your needs. Updated August 2020. As an additional COVID-19 safety measure all consultations prior to your face to face treatment are now done over the phone so that all you need to do during your treatment itself is relax back and enjoy your hour. For more details on what measures I have in place for COVID-19 please refer to my blog post https://www.feetdbfirst.co.uk/post/reflexologists-are-back.

What to expect during a treatment

For the treatment itself, depending on whether you are having a facial, hand or foot treatment you will be asked to relax back into the therapy chair and remove any obstructive jewellery,,whilst. For a facial treatment you may be asked to remove hair clips, earrings or let down tied back hair to make you more comfortable. For the feet, you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks.

All you then have to do is lay back and enjoy the treatment that you have chosen. For details of the individual treatment choices available refer to my facebook service list or website booking page. Reflexology is a touch based therapy. Your face or feet will be cleansed in preparation of me applying varying degrees of pressure with thumbs, fingers or hands. Either an oil, cream or balm will be applied to the target areas to aid comfort during the application of massage techniques and allow adequate glide from one reflex point to another effortlessly throughout your treatment.

What to expect during a mobile visit

I will arrive with a mobile chair, stool and bag of wonders to your home. It may take a couple of trips to and from the car on arrival. We will then find a suitable place to setup the chair where you will feel most comfortable. I will need access to water to wash my hands and have a couple of glasses of water on hand for us both during the session. Ideally we would be in a space where you will be undisturbed away from television screens, monitors, gadgets and phones or harsh lighting.

Aftercare

Immediately after the end of your treatment you will have an opportunity to discuss how it went, adjust your treatment plan based on the first treatment, book your next appointment and be given treatment aftercare advice whilest drinking your glass of water. You may also be sent additional information and supporting materials after the appointment depending on the advice given. You may also be asked how you feel within 72 hours of your initial appointment or at the start of your next appointment.

If you would like any more information about my reflexology services or to book now don't hesitate to get in touch.
